This work requires courage. It asks you to go bigger than you ever have. And it holds you the entire way.

You’ve done the quiet work.

The journaling, the small expressions, the careful steps forward. It has mattered more than you know.

But something in you is ready for more. Not more grief. More of yourself. Held in Becoming is a nine-month group experience for women ready to take their healing out of the pages and onto the canvas. On real canvas. With real paint. Through large-scale creative expression, symbolic art making, and the full Cocoon, Unfurl, Soar method, it walks with you through grief and into the life you’re still becoming.

It is not small work. It is not quiet work. It is the kind of work that changes

how you see yourself.

Guided by the Cocoon, Unfurl, Soar Method

Held in Becoming is the most immersive expression of the method I’ve developed over years of holding space for grieving women.
Before the loss, you were the egg. When grief arrived, you became the caterpillar. Still here, still moving, but no longer the same. Held in Becoming meets you there. We begin the metamorphosis together, through the cocoon, through the unfurl, into the soar.

This is not a loose gathering. It is a structured, intentional, and deeply creative container built to hold you through the full arc of transformation.

This might be for you if...

You know there is more to your healing journey, and you are ready to approach it with intention, support, and the spaciousness you deserve.

  • You've done some healing work and you're ready to go deeper.
  • You want to be part of a community of women who understand what you carry.
  • You're drawn to creative expression but have never gone big with it.
  • You want structure and guidance, not just support.
  • You're ready to explore who you are becoming, not just who you were.
  • You want something tangible at the end. Something you made. Something you can see.

Whatever your loss, whoever you are grieving, you belong here.

If this isn't your season...

This may not be the right fit right now if:

  • Holding space for other women feels like too much
  • Being seen in a group feels hard
  • Showing up on camera is difficult
  • Getting through your days is still the work

The Creative Cocoon Community or one-on-one coaching can meet you where you are.

When you're ready, Held in Becoming will be waiting.

The full Cocoon, Unfurl, Soar arc

Nine months. Three phases of thirteen weeks each. Time and space to go deep in every one.

Phase 1:
Cocoon

The turning inward. Discovering who you are inside this grief.

We begin by working small and close. You’ll explore feminine archetypes, finding the one that speaks to where you are and who you are inside your loss. Through gentle mark making and
drawing, you build comfort with creative expression. There is no skill required. Only willingness. By the end of this phase, you will have created a painting of yourself as the archetype you identified with. It will be the first time many of you have seen yourselves reflected back in this way. That recognition is where the deeper work begins.

Phase 2:
Unfurl

The passage. Moving through the portal.

This is where the work gets bigger. On large sheets of paper, you will draw portals, and you will move through them. Inside this phase, we examine the “coulda shouldas,” the guilt, the limiting beliefs, the identity constructs that grief has hardened into place. And then, layer by layer, we begin to let them go. The portal is not a metaphor you think about. It is something you make with your hands and move through with your whole self. This is the heart of the program. The hardest phase and the most transformative. What emerges on the other side is a new way of being.

Phase 3:
Soar

The new life. Declaring who you are becoming.

Everything has been building to this. In the final phase, you work on a four-by-four-foot canvas. Layer by layer, you create a large-scale expression of who you are becoming. Symbolism, color, the feminine archetypes if you choose, the full story of your transformation. This is not a small, private exercise. This is you, declaring yourself at full scale. And then, you build your wings.
Every woman in the program constructs a pair of wings and wears them to the graduation celebration at the end of nine months. You will stand in a room full of women who have walked this same road, each wearing something they built with their own hands, each one proof that grief and becoming can coexist.

How do you know your grief is healing?

The first two markers come from grief expert David Kessler. The third is one I've added from my own experience walking alongside grieving women.

  • Your grief no longer owns you, and you're back in the driver's seat of your life.
  • You can remember your person with more joy and less pain.
  • You genuinely feel happy to be alive again, and you look forward to your life.

Nine months is enough time to make these feel real. Not as ideas. As lived experience.
